Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 14-bed Medical Surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Document patient assessments and care using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Collaborate with unit secretaries, charge nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
• Fulfill scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per schedule block
• Adhere to floating policy, with travel staff expected to float first as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Joint Commission Thrombectomy Certified facility
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying patient acuity and float assignments
