Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Medical Surgical unit serving an adult and geriatric population
  • Manage common diagnoses including COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, sepsis, infection, and end-of-life/hospice care
  • Maintain a 1:6 patient ratio while operating Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and PCA pumps
  • Document and manage patient records using Cerner EHR
  • Float as needed to surgical, neuro, and intermediate units (accepting med/surg level patients)
  • Work every other weekend; no on-call requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina RN license or compact RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience
  • Proficiency with Cerner EHR
  • Demonstrated IV competency
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

  • Charge nurse experience
  • Strong patient advocacy skills with the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to patient care
