Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Supported by 2-3 techs per shift, a clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director
• Uses wound vacs, heparin drips, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanners, feeding pumps, and telemetry equipment
• Documentation completed in Editech
• Schedule follows a 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No guaranteed block scheduling
• Floating required between 2 North and 2 West

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Skilled in IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Performs lab draws and IV starts on the unit
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Perform service recovery as needed and escalate issues through the chain of command
• Navy scrub dress code required, no fleece or sweatshirts permitted
