Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

An opportunity is available for a seasoned Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a medical-surgical unit that fosters a collaborative and family-oriented environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 30
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Staffing Description: 2-3 techs per shift, clinical coordinator (varied days), charge nurse, manager, and director available
• Equipment Utilized: Wound vac, heparin gtt, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, telemetry
• Documentation System: Editech

Scheduling Requirements

Flexibility in scheduling is required; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. You will be expected to work every other weekend and rotate holiday shifts.

Floating Policy

Nurses may be required to float between adjacent units based on patient care needs.

Patient Experience

Successful candidates will demonstrate a positive attitude, actively engage with patients and their families, implement service recovery when necessary, and escalate any issues through the appropriate chain of command.

Qualifications

• Required Skills: IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, cardiac rhythms
• Advanced Skills: Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Procedures Performed: Lab draws, IV starts
• Certifications Required: BLS

Dress Code

Navy scrubs are required; fleece or sweatshirts are not permitted.
