Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg

Position Description

ACLS certification is required for this position.

General Information

  • Unit Name: Cardiac Med-Surg
  • Number of Beds: 30
  • Patient Ratios: 1:6
  • Unit Staffing Description: The unit comprises 30 cardiac med-surg beds with 6 nurses per shift, supported by a charge nurse. A unit secretary is available during the day shift, along with 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) per shift.
  • Types of Equipment: GE telemetry, Rover, portable WOWs, and Welch-Allen vital signs machine.
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Scheduling Requirements: Candidates must be available for three full 12-hour shifts, including 3-4 weekend shifts within a four-week period.
  • Floating Policy: Rotation with other travel nurses may be required.
  • Patient Experience Requirements: NRC standards must be met.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Skills: Med-surg experience and familiarity with cardiac medications and drips; proficiency in Meditech.
  • Required Skills:
    • Cardiac and telemetry knowledge
    • EKG rhythm identification proficiency
  • Advanced Skills Needed: ACLS certification is mandatory.
  • Certifications Required: RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and EKG/cardiac rhythm identification.

Dress Code

Employees are required to wear navy blue scrubs.
