Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and education, while delivering compassionate care throughout the patient's stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Coordinate patient care and develop individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on care plans, medical conditions, and discharge procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients.

Qualifications

  • Valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical unit.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Location

This position is located in City, State.

Schedule

The position requires flexible scheduling, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
