Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring an active IL RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

  • Medical Surgical unit setting
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Cardiac telemetry monitoring, respiratory care, and tracheostomy care/management are part of the unit's work

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required (in hand)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • CPI certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
  • Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in a medical surgical unit, including cardiac monitoring, respiratory care, and tracheostomy management
  • Complete facility orientation modules (non-billable, 2-3 hours)
  • RTO limited to 7 days maximum, with no RTO during the first or last week of the contract
  • Former staff at this health system must have a 7-month gap since separation before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Block scheduling is not accommodated
