Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring BLS, NIHSS certification, and TX or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work on a 14-bed Med Surg unit
  • Typical staffing includes 3 RNs and 1 PCT per shift with a free float CNC
  • Patient ratio of 1:5
  • Uses Alaris infusion pumps
  • Meditech EMR experience preferred
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekend requirement

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg experience
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current NIHSS certification required
  • ACLS and rhythm interpretation strongly preferred
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
  • One professional reference required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to Med Surg patients including procedures such as bronchoscopy and EGD/colonoscopy
  • Ideal candidates are flexible team players
  • Navy scrub color required
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
