Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Med Surg/Telemetry Pulmonary – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holidays as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment on a 36-bed telemetry pulmonary unit specializing in respiratory disorders
• Collaborative environment working closely with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy teams
• Opportunity to provide high-quality, specialized care for patients with lung diseases and injuries
• Biweekly orientation with 16 hours of non-billable onboarding
• Flexibility to work either 36 or 48 hours per week based on preference
• Overtime available after 48 hours worked per week

Requirements:

• Active Alabama or Compact state RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 18 months of experience working under highest professional license level; 2 years preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in specialty area
• Must pass Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Willingness to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Proficiency with Meditech charting system preferred
