Schedule

D/E/N rotating shift schedules, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback as per unit needs.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

Join our unique adult medical/surgical unit dedicated to caring for patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues. We are looking for flexible, enthusiastic, and committed nurses to help us grow in this expanding environment. Med/surg acute care experience is a plus, and a willingness to care for a varied patient population is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with a combination of medical and psychiatric needs.
• Manage a changing environment with a diverse patient population.
• Participate in the dual-certification process for medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing upon meeting experience requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (New York ONLY)
• Minimum of 2 years of med/surg experience
• Required psychology experience
• Telemetry experience
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) certification
