Job Description:

Registered Nurse needed for Med Surg unit with a focus on both adult and pediatric patients. The role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to patient care. Candidates must have experience handling varied medical conditions and be adaptable to rotating shifts and floating as required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for a unit with 14 inpatient beds and 3 observation beds.
• Handle a Nurse:Patient ratio of 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night.
• Assist with applying telemetry and collaborate with ICU for monitoring.
• Participate in self-scheduling and adhere to rotation and floating requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including care for both adults and pediatric patients.
• Valid RN license and certifications in BLS and PALS.
• Able to pass primary or secondary fit test; Portacount test not available for clinicians with facial hair.
• Experience with MEDITECH charting system preferred.
