Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho unit position requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and an active MT or compact RN license.

Details

  • Med/Surg Orthopedics unit within a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
  • Uses Epic for clinical documentation
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to take on-call shifts during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact) in Montana required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required, plus ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the unit
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Ortho specialty required
  • Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted nursing practice standards
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, including health teaching and counseling
  • Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans, and refers patients for further evaluation as needed
  • Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abides by service behavior standards
  • Requested time off must be submitted for consideration
  • Previous permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
