Schedule

3x12-Hour shifts, Days, from 07:00 to 19:00. Weekend work is required on an every other weekend basis.

Job Description

The MedSurg Ortho/Neuro RN will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients on a MedSurg unit focusing on orthopedic and neurological conditions. The role involves assessing patient needs, implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Manage and care for MedSurg patients with Ortho/Neuro conditions.
Oversee patient admissions, assessments, and care planning.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
Provide education and support to patients and families.
Utilize appropriate charting and documentation practices using Epic.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg nursing, with preference given to those with Ortho/Neuro experience.
Active SC RN license or Compact license required prior to the start of the assignment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
