Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring a MT or compact RN license and 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg Oncology unit in a hospital setting
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

  • Active MT or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • ACLS, NRP, or PALS required as appropriate for the unit
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Oncology required
  • Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment to oncology patients
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed
  • Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
