Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Oncology RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of relevant experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

  • Med/Surg-Oncology unit setting
  • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, 36 hrs/week
  • Weekend rotation required every third weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
  • EMR: Epic

Requirements

  • Active RN license, IA or compact license required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS may be obtained during onboarding)
  • 2+ years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology experience required
  • Experience administering Heparin, PCA, and epidural drips required
  • Chemotherapy certification required if administering chemo drips
  • Travel and high acuity care experience preferred
  • Driver's license, work history/resume, and license verification required for consideration
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year required for consideration
  • One supervisory reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

  • Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
  • Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg and Oncology patients
  • Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
  • Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
  • Holiday coverage required: must work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
  • Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods in late November and December
