Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg - Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and an IN or compact RN license.

Details

  • Works in a 16-bed Adult Oncology Unit
  • Patient population includes oncology, hematology, end-of-life/hospice, and overflow Med/Surg cases
  • Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active IN or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification required (must be AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

  • Responsible for patient assessment, intervention, medication administration, and following through on orders
  • Monitors and implements the plan of care, documents in EHR, and assists with ADLs
  • Only one submission per candidate allowed system-wide for Ascension positions
  • Travelers should discuss assignment extensions with their manager at least 45 days before the end date
  • All Ascension positions are Auto Offer
  • A radius rule applies allowing local candidates but potentially at a reduced rate depending on facility location
  • COVID-19 vaccination is not required as of July 2023
