Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Oncology hospital experience and an active CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 13-bed Med/Surg Oncology unit on the 4th floor of the main hospital building
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratios typically 5:1, sometimes 4:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
• Unit staffed with 1 charge nurse and 3 RNs per shift
• Chemotherapy procedures performed on the unit
• Uses Meditech/CPN EMR system
• Self-scheduling available with commitment to work every other weekend
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg/Oncology hospital RN experience required
• Oncology Certification (ONC) required for all RNs working in Oncology
• ACLS and chemotherapy certification preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a 3-year-old, newly renovated Oncology unit
• Unit has maintained over 3 years without CAUTI, 4+ months without CLABSI, and 1+ year without hospital-acquired CDIFF
• Team includes highly experienced staff with over 160 years of combined experience and a Director with 5+ years in the role
• Unit recently recognized with a Daisy Award recipient
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
