Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Neuro unit position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring med/surg experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• 32-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit in an acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation based on unit needs, working every other weekend and every other holiday
• Utilizes Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
• Required to float to any med/surg unit across three Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo

Requirements

• Active ND or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds)
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience with successful contract completion required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Neuro patient experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, nursing task completion, and medication administration
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required for every other holiday
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates living 60-80 miles from the facility are eligible at a reduced local rate
• Local candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced rate
• Candidates with prior Sanford Health employment must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
