Job Summary – RN Med-Surg Float Pool

1. Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour days
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
• Weekend: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Start Dates: October 12 or October 26 only — confirm current availability.
• Care Setting: Acute care, Level II trauma
• Floating: First to float; between Med/Onc, two surgical units, and two medical units; may float to any Med-Surg pod.

• Charting: Cerner; transitioning to Epic in November 2026.

   

2. Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Current, relevant medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Experience in a large hospital required.
• Active RN license required at submission.
• BLS certification — AHA or American Red Cross accepted.
• BSN not required.
• Telemetry experience is not a primary requirement; only occasional rhythm-strip reading is expected.
