Registered Nurse - Float / Resource Pool

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float / Resource Pool team. This position involves working in various units, specifically focusing on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care settings, providing critical support where needed.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations in acute care settings.
  • Float to different units as necessary, including coordination with multiple locations within the region.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including Cardizem and Insulin Drips.
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting.
  • Active nursing license in New Hampshire or a compact RN license.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
  • Ability to pass a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a score of 80% or higher.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Cerner.
  • Knowledge of drug drips, specifically for insulin (hyperglycemia management) and phenobarbital on telemetry.
  • First-time travelers with solid nursing backgrounds may be considered.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily night shifts, requiring weekend work every other week. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial for meeting the demands of a dynamic healthcare environment.

Location

Position may require floating to various locations in Laconia, NH.
