Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift academic hospital position requiring 2 years of recent experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Med/Surg Float Pool unit within an academic medical center setting
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating may be required to other units
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and other required certifications from AHA or RQI
• 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• 1 year of experience accepted if from a 600+ bed academic hospital with passing competency test score
• Candidates with less than 2 years experience must pass competency testing within 2 attempts
• Epic EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• Medical exemption only for flu vaccine; personal or religious declinations not accepted

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Competency test, if required, must be completed within 24 hours and will be sent via email
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract period may result in contract termination, with required make-up shifts completed within 6 weeks
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
• Local candidates not accepted from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
