Travel Nursing Job Details

- Additional Flexibility: Willingness to provide support on Medical-Surgical units when appropriate and within scope of practice
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in New York
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery, maternity nursing, or obstetric nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn assessment and care
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills
- Commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive patient care
Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns
- Support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assist with emergency interventions and promote safe delivery practices
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, responses to care, and patient education
- Provide support on Medical-Surgical units when appropriate and within scope of practice
