Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer with ARDMS OB/GYN and NT certification for a high-risk pregnancy clinic setting.

Details

  • Work across 6 ultrasound rooms at one hospital and 2 rooms at a second hospital location
  • High Risk OB and Maternal Fetal Medicine outpatient clinic setting
  • Perform 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily, reporting findings to 3 MFM physicians
  • 1:1 patient ratio with high-risk maternal and fetal conditions
  • Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures
  • Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 5x8 day shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No weekends, nights, on-call, or major holidays required
  • May float within scope to meet facility needs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in OB/GYN outpatient ultrasound
  • BLS, ARDMS, ARDMS OB/GYN, and NT certifications required
  • Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Fetal echo experience required
  • Skilled in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scanning, fetal anatomical survey, nuchal translucency screen, amniotic fluid index, umbilical cord doppler, and multiple pregnancy imaging
  • Experience with transvaginal and renal/pelvic imaging
  • 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform detailed fetal and maternal ultrasounds including fetal echo, anatomical survey, and Doppler studies
  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures such as amniocentesis, CVS, and PUBS
  • Scrubs of any color permitted, no prints
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Travel experience not required
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront during consideration process
  • Former Providence perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel candidate and must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
  • Candidates must be within 50 miles for local consideration
  • Only one Providence facility submission allowed at a time
