    Description

    Job Title: Radiologic Technologist/Mammography Profession: Technologist Specialty: Mammography Duration: Full Time Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience: None required. Previous mammography and hospital experience is highly preferred. License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registry in Radiography required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registry in Mammography required. Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) through the state board required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required or completion within first 90 days of employment is highly preferred. Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required. Description: Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic medical imaging exams and procedures on all patient populations from neonate through geriatric. Conducts mammography exams, image-guided breast procedures, and bone densitometry exams on adult and geriatric patients. Exhibits a superior level of customer service. Effectively operates radiographic equipment to produce quality images in various settings, including Radiology Departments, Emergency Departments, Operating Rooms, and more. Explains procedures to patients and demonstrates appropriate patient positioning. Obtains optimum views of specified anatomy. Adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors based on knowledge of procedures and established guidelines. Demonstrates effective radiation safety practices and assists the attending provider as necessary. Interacts with numerous computer programs and systems daily. May also perform various other duties as assigned by the Radiology Supervisor or Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
