Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Must be available to work weekends and evenings; 8-hour shifts only (10/12-hour shift requests will not be considered)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of mammography and X-ray technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity to facilitate diagnosis
- Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACS applications; demonstrate proficiency with PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems
- Provide proper patient care in accordance with departmental and facility policies and procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with departmental, facility, and OSHA standards
- Attend annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation; maintain department competencies as required
- May assume supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as directed by Lead Technologist or Operations Manager
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of X-ray experience with at least 1 year of current experience required
- Minimum 2 years of current mammography experience required
- ARRT (R) Certification — Required
- ARRT (M) Certification — Required
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification — Required
- Massachusetts Radiology License (or active application) — Required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment
- Must have a personal vehicle available for use during the assignment
- Must be available to work required holiday blocks as scheduled (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's periods)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
- Proficiency in both X-ray and mammography modalities strongly preferred
- Strong patient care and communication skills in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment
