Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening mammography examinations using Hologic Selenia and Hologic Dimensions (tomosynthesis) equipment
- Manage a patient volume of approximately 23–25 patients per day in an offsite breast care center setting
- Utilize GE PACS imaging software and Epic EMR for documentation and image management
- May cross-train into 3D breast ultrasound and rotate into bone density imaging based on experience
- Maintain compliance with all California mammography documentation and continuing education requirements
- Demonstrate strong patient-oriented communication skills and the ability to maintain pace in a high-volume environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid California Radiology certificate (CRT) and California Mammography certificate — original certificate copies required; CDPH website printouts are not accepted
- ARRT certification with Mammography (M) credential — original ARRT pocket card required; ARRT website printouts are not accepted
- BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of mammography experience
- Documentation of initial training: 40 hours of education and 25 supervised mammography exams
- 8 hours of digital mammography training and 8 hours of tomosynthesis training
- 200 mammography examinations performed within the prior 24 months
- 15 mammography-related CEUs completed within the prior 3 years
- Documentation of when the California "M" credential was received (or passing "congratulations" letter if the CA mammography board exam was taken)
- This is a nicotine-free facility; candidates must have a negative result for nicotine/cotinine on drug screening
- All required documentation must be submitted prior to candidate interview to verify compliance
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Experience with Hologic Dimensions tomosynthesis equipment
- 5 CEUs in breast ultrasound (required if cross-training into 3D breast ultrasound)
- Experience with bone density imaging
