Job Summary:
Pinnole, California This position is for a Mammographer specializing in mammography procedures. The role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams, assisting radiologists with various procedures including biopsies and wire placements, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards for mammography. The position requires collaboration with patients and healthcare professionals in a teaching and research environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Mammography Certification (MAM) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current licensure or certification as applicable, at least 1 year of experience in mammography, including knowledge of ultrasound diagnostic procedures, radiographic techniques, and safety principles.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with digital mammography equipment, ability to perform quality control functions, knowledge of digital image processing, and familiarity with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS).
- Additional Information: Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment and other devices. Positions patients, explains procedures, and maintains equipment. Handles paperwork efficiently, including faxing consent forms and abnormal results, and assists with specimen transport and biopsy procedures. Utilizes all digital mammography equipment, performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control assessments.
