Job Summary:
A Mammographer position in Eureka, California, involves performing diagnostic mammograms, stereo biopsies, and related procedures using advanced imaging equipment. The role requires a skilled healthcare professional to assist adult and geriatric patient populations, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety throughout each procedure.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California license, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Mammography and Radiologic Technology, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, minimum of 1 year of experience in mammography, and specific experience with Epic (electronic charting system).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Hologic 3D, Fine Needle Aspiration, Stereotactic Biopsy, and inpatient outpatient imaging.
- Additional Information: The candidate must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. References covering at least one year within the last three years are required. The assignment involves working with mammography screens, diagnostic exams, stereo biopsies, and utilizing specialized equipment such as transcribed 04.12.24 gm #Tier3. Interdisciplinary support includes radiology, and imaging procedures target adult and geriatrics patient populations. The position may require completing modules averaging 16 hours, with over 20 hours needing prior approval. Candidates should submit SSN, DOB, and RTO at time of submission, along with two references.
