Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Skilled Nursing Facility position requiring 1+ year of LTC experience and comfort with high patient ratios on weekend night shifts.

Details

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / Long-Term Care (LTC) setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Weekend shifts required
• High patient ratios ranging from 1:22-44

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required (pending license accepted, must be obtained before starting)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required, 2 years preferred
• LTC experience required
• Comfort with high patient ratios (1:22-44) required
• Experience with an EMR/charting system required; recent Epic experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to long-term care residents including admission, discharge, and end-of-life/palliative care
• Skills include wound care, ostomy management, IV therapy, medication administration, and chronic disease management
• Care for residents with neurological, cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and endocrine conditions
• Pass/fail Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test administered on the first day of orientation with only one attempt allowed
• Attendance policy in place; missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous permanent staff of this health system are not eligible to return as travelers
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application; requests made afterward will not be considered
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
