Travel Nursing Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; day shift approximately 6:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. or night shift approximately 6:30 p.m.–6:30 a.m.
• Schedule: Rotating 36/48-hour schedule in a Saturday-through-Friday work week
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week, with 3 day shifts or 4 night shifts depending on assignment
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Healthcare Setting: 25-bed long-term care and intermediate care unit
• Orientation: 16 hours

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience; long-term care, skilled nursing, or intermediate care experience strongly preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PointClickCare experience required
• Cerner electronic health record (EHR) experience required
• Ability to work a flexible, rotating schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Two professional references required
• Ability to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliated location when needed
• Travel nurses must reside more than 100 miles from the assignment location to be eligible

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to long-term care and intermediate care residents
• Complete nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans, and monitor residents' responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing standards and provider orders
• Document patient and resident care accurately using PointClickCare and Cerner systems
• Communicate changes in resident condition to providers, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support activities of daily living, chronic disease management, and resident comfort
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to promote continuity and quality patient care
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and applicable regulatory requirements
