LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills to ensure the safe delivery of care. The Registered Nurse will maintain clinical competencies through continuing education, delegate patient care priorities according to staff capabilities, and supervise assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and conduct comprehensive assessments.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to guide clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
• Supervise nursing staff and delegate responsibilities as appropriate.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have current Florida RN license or multi-state compact RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Vent/trach experience and knowledge of central lines are mandatory.
• Preferred wound care experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with travel experience preferred.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:00.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
