Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for an LTAC ICU position requiring ACLS, BLS, and 1 year of ICU experience with Epic charting.

Details

  • LTAC ICU unit setting
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
  • Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6
  • Performs specialized procedures including TPN, wound care, drain management, foley catheter care, and narcotic administration
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Block scheduling considered
  • No call-in requirements

Requirements

  • Active compact or LA RN license required in hand at time of submission
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • LTAC experience preferred but not required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • Up-to-date NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of submission)
  • 2 Manager/Supervisor references required prior to starting contract (Charge RNs not accepted)

Additional Information

  • Provide ICU-level nursing care for LTAC patients, including medication management, respiratory and ventilator support, renal and endocrine care, wound care, and cardiac monitoring
  • May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring extended stay at the facility during emergency events
  • Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
  • Orientation held 5 days a week
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • Former permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the health system for 1 full year before returning as a traveler
  • All RTO must be disclosed on profile and discussed during interview to avoid offer rescission
