Shift: Evenings
Certs: AHA BLS
License: Active LPN License compact or VA
OT Opportunities: One week maximum and NO HOLIDAY RTO
Floating Requirements:  N/A
Extension Opportunities:  Extensions are likely, however, NOT guaranteed
Experience:

  • One year of experience required
  • Behavioral Health and Geriatric experience required
  • Medication administration experience required
  • Psychiatric and/or long term care experience preferred
  • Travel Experience not required

Overview Facility size: 123 bed facility Scrub Color Requirement: Any color-must be clean, ironed, not tight fitting, and not have inappropriate text or images. Sell to candidates: PGH is a behavioral health facility that serves individuals aged 65 and older. We have been awarded the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval and are dedicated to providing outstanding treatment and improving our patient’s health and quality of life. This commitment means that we strive to be a leader in geriatric psychiatry and to ensure our team is comprised of well-trained staff and patient-centered physicians Case types: Approx. 50% psychiatric and 50% neurocognitive disorders with behavioral disturbance. Many patients have multiple medical comorbidities and functional impairments and may require extensive assistance with ADLs. About 10% of our population is forensic. Patient ratios: RN - 1:34 long term unit / 1:19 admission unit LPN - 1:17 CNA/DSA - 1:5 or 1:7 depending on unit
