Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)
Job Description
This role involves working as an assessing therapist with a lighter caseload while taking on some Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) responsibilities. Responsibilities include attending morning and facility meetings, as well as managing the schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the rehabilitation team, which includes Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), Speech Therapists (ST), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA).
- Oversee and ensure compliance with Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) processes.
- Develop and enhance rehabilitation programs for high-acuity patients.
- Foster collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze clinical and financial performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Experience in a leadership role within a skilled nursing facility (SNF)/long-term care (LTC) rehabilitation setting.
- Knowledge of the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM).
- A valid state license to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist in Missouri.
- New graduates are not accepted for this position.
