Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Supervisor for a Long-Term Care position requiring 1+ years of LTC experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

  • Long-term care and skilled nursing rehabilitation center setting, including memory care and wound care services
  • Care for a patient population with Alzheimer's and Dementia
  • Patient ratio of 1:18-20 in a 300-bed facility
  • Night shift, 8-hour shifts (10:45pm-7:15am), 5 shifts per week
  • Required to work every other weekend upon center request
  • No floating between units required
  • PCC (Point Click Care) charting system used, though experience is not required for consideration

Requirements

  • Active NY State RN license required with no license disciplinary actions allowed
  • Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience required
  • Supervisor RNs require 1+ years of Supervisor/Manager experience along with 2+ years of LTC experience
  • Will accept candidates with recent specialty experience in rehab, med surg, or hospital settings in lieu of direct LTC background
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
  • Must be an American citizen; Canadian citizens cannot be accepted
  • Proof of license required at time of consideration

Additional Information

  • Supervise CNAs on assigned units while working a med-cart
  • Administer medications and treatments, perform accurate med passes, and monitor resident condition
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies
  • Once offered, shift and RTO cannot be changed
  • RTO is only approved at time of submission and cannot include every holiday
  • Shifts begin 15 minutes early and end 15 minutes late to accommodate report
  • Orientation occurs every 2 weeks and cannot be missed
  • Attire is any solid color scrubs with closed toe shoes
  • Free parking is available at this facility
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • Call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours notice
  • Strong, consistent attendance and punctuality are required
