Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care position requiring a VT or compact license, LTC experience, and comfort working with dementia patients.

Details

Long term care/rehabilitation nursing unit
12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
Minimum every other weekend required, with scheduling adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
Monday to Sunday scheduling with no block schedules permitted
Floating to other units required as needed
All units care for dementia patients

Requirements

Active VT or compact RN license required
BLS certification through AHA required
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
Prior LTC experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Comfortable working with dementia patients

Additional Information

Provide nursing care within a long term care and rehabilitation setting
Coverage required for 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area
All-season or snow tires recommended for vehicles during November through April
Preplanned time off must be communicated upfront, as requests cannot be accommodated once the assignment begins
