Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care position on nights, requiring an active MN RN license and Assisted Living/Short Term Rehab experience.

Details

  • Long Term Care setting within a Charter House Administration/Nursing unit
  • Assisted Living and Short Term Rehab experience required, Long Term Care experience preferred
  • Night shift, 6p-6a, 36 hours per week, 3 shifts per week
  • On-site position with no teleworking options
  • Uses Epic EMR for charting
  • Facility may call off or cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census

Requirements

  • Active MN RN license required, no pending license accepted
  • BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the specialty; Rochester, MN facilities require 2 years of experience and/or 3 total travel assignments
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE); additional experience required if not accredited or if graduation was not within the last two years
  • Additional specialty certification/training may be required based on work area

Additional Information

  • Coordinate direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients
  • Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and available resources
  • Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning
  • COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility
