- Position Description: The Nurse Manager oversees the long-term care unit, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care aligned with current standards. Responsibilities include managing staffing, budget, clinical programs, and compliance with regulatory agencies. The position offers leadership development opportunities within a mission-driven environment, with a focus on staff engagement and performance excellence.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; valid compact license transferred within 60 days of employment start; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers; three (3) years of management experience; two (2) years of clinical experience; leadership, communication, problem-solving, financial acumen, clinical knowledge, resource management, patient safety, mentorship, and community outreach skills.
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 32 hours per week, with some flexibility in start and end times, ideally Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Additional Information: This role requires the ability to work on the floor, assist with after-hours coverage, and manage clinical performance and standards. Candidates with prior leadership experience as Nursing Executive Director, Nursing Home Administrator, or Community Manager are preferred and should highlight their oversight experience. Direct reports will include nursing staff and team members focused on patient care and operational quality.
