PEL/VIP is seeking a travel Long Term Care (LTC) Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Waterloo, Iowa.

Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our clinical team. This position offers both day and night 12-hour shifts in a patient-focused environment where respiratory therapists play a key role in delivering high-quality care.

Schedule

  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Equipment Experience

  • Trilogy EVO Ventilators experience preferred.

Patient Population

Respiratory Therapists will provide care for patients requiring:

  • Breathing treatments and inhaler therapy
  • Ventilator management
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Airvo therapy
  • CPAP therapy
  • BiPAP therapy

Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory treatments and inhalation therapies.
  • Monitor and manage ventilator-dependent patients.
  • Provide tracheostomy, Airvo, CPAP, and BiPAP support.
  • Assess respiratory status and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications

  • Current Respiratory Therapist license/certification.
  • Experience with ventilator management and advanced respiratory therapies preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
