Job Summary
Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare organization. This role involves supporting respiratory-focused, vent-dependent patients within a specialized medical environment. The position offers a 12-hour day shift and is suited for nurses with prior experience in long-term acute care settings.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour days, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, 1-2 years of experience, prior travel experience preferred, and must have experience handling respiratory/ventilated patients (note: nurses do not manage ventilators, respiratory therapists handle vents)
- Position Specialty: Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 0 years; 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred
- Unit Size: Respiratory Care Unit: 36 beds; Respiratory Step-Down Unit: 38 beds
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required which may include assignments to various units based on weekly need
- Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound care, Trach care, suctioning, catheterizations, port access, dressing changes, and other complex patient care procedures. Orientation sessions held every Monday. Candidates must have a clean profile and relevant respiratory/ventilated patient experience if applicable.
