Job Summary:
Respiratory Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in a long-term acute care setting. This role focuses on providing specialized care to patients with respiratory and vent-dependent needs. The RN will be responsible for clinical tasks within a respiratory-focused environment, with the flexibility to choose between 8-hour or 12-hour night shifts. The position requires working every other weekend and may involve floating to similar chronic care units as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour nights (11:00 PM 7:30 AM) or 12-hour nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM), with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license with 1-2 years of hospital or acute care experience, prior travel experience preferred. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification is preferred. Experience with respiratory and vent-dependent patients is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing respiratory/vented patients.
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The RN will care for respiratory and vent-dependent patients, perform IV starts, medication drips, blood administration, EKGs, wound care, trach care, suctioning, catheterizations, and central line dressings. Must be willing to obtain or have a medical declination for flu vaccinations; personal or religious declinations are not accepted. Candidate profiles must be clear and comprehensive for review. Experience with respiratory/vented patients should be explicitly highlighted.
