Connected Health Care is seeking a motivated and compassionate
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a
local travel contract in
Rapid City, South Dakota. This opportunity is perfect for COTAs who want to make a difference in a close-knit community while enjoying the flexibility of travel work and the scenic beauty of the Black Hills region.
Job Responsibilities:- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Support patients in developing or regaining daily living and work skills
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
- Provide hands-on care under the direction of the supervising OT
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and home programs
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and safety procedures
Education & Certification Requirements:- Associates Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active South Dakota COTA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- NBCOT certification required
- Current BLS certification
- Previous experience in a clinical or rehab setting preferred
