Social Worker
Job Details:
• Work schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
• Business casual dress code required
• Work across 6 inpatient units in a 120-bed facility serving adult (up to 24 patients), adolescent (up to 16 patients), and child (up to 8 patients) populations
• Complete Activity Therapy Assessments and run psychotherapeutic group activities for adult, child, adolescent, and geriatric patients
• Complete assessments and treatment plans for new patients and facilitate approximately four groups per day across various units
• Serve as primary group facilitator with RNs and Techs present to maintain staff-to-patient ratio compliance
• Document all patient interactions and group sessions in medical record using Cerner documentation system
• Utilize laptop and/or desktop computer; each unit has a TV with Webex capabilities and the option to share videos or created content with groups
• Must have experience running groups within given field
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required (e.g., activity therapy, recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, occupational therapy, or expressive arts therapy)
• Certification, licensure, or registration in appropriate area required (e.g., NC Licensed Recreational Therapist or Associate (LRT, LRT-A, or CTRS), Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Music Therapist (MT), Dance Movement Therapist (R-DMT), or similar certification)
• Alternative consideration for LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT if unable to source alternative therapies therapist

This facility operates both inpatient and outpatient mental health and wellness programs, serving a diverse patient population that includes adults, adolescents, children, and geriatric patients across six specialized units. The facility is equipped with modern technology to support therapeutic group activities and maintains a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care, ensuring compliance with staff-to-patient ratios across all units.
