Typical procedures include assessment of social situations and needs, followed by writing corresponding plans. Participation in multidisciplinary team rounds for discharge planning is essential. An independent starter with a willingness to consult with other professionals is needed. Creativity is valuable, as the environment presents unique challenges. Attire can be scrubs or business casual. There is no on-call requirement, and occasional weekend coverage is rare.
