Responsibilities
- Manage admissions and understand the admission process; complete transfers and discharges; report falls as required.
- Provide nursing care during night shifts, including med pass at the beginning of the shift; maintain up to 2 CNAs during this period.
- Support resident care with treatments per care plans and ensure accurate documentation in the charting system.
- Collaborate with the night team and be prepared to coordinate with day-shift staff (CNAs, med aides, and Bath Aide as applicable) to meet resident needs.
- Maintain resident safety and respond to changes in condition following facility policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the assigned shift schedule; note that on-call or back-up coverage is not required for this assignment.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Dakota
- BLS Certification required
- Ability to perform admissions, transfers, discharges, and fall reporting
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to work the 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and function effectively in a post-acute/long-term care environment
