Position Details- Role: Medical Social Worker (MSW) (Allied)
- Location: Fort Myers, Florida, 33908
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Schedule: Guaranteed 40 HR week. Primarily 6-12 Hour Night Shifts (mostly 7p-7:30a) and one 8-Hour shift, with rotating weekends within a 2-week period. Must have flexibility to cover day shifts as needed.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As an MSW in the PEDS ER, you will provide essential social work services and crisis intervention for pediatric patients and their families. Your duties will include:

Providing expert Discharge Planning to ensure safe and comprehensive transitions of care.

Offering immediate crisis intervention and emotional support in a high-acuity setting.

Conducting psychosocial assessments and connecting families with necessary community resources.

Functioning as core staff, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and case management teams.
