Job TitleSocial Worker

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | Monday-Thursday, 4x10s (7:30 PM - 6:00 AM) | Holiday availability required
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-person psychiatric assessments on the inpatient behavioral health unit, managing a caseload of up to 10 patients per day
- Perform level of care assessments and psychiatric consults on medical floors and in the ED (approximately 3-4 consults per day)
- Facilitate intake assessments, inpatient therapy sessions, group therapy, and patient check-ins
- Develop and implement safety plans and conduct discharge planning visits
- Provide family and collateral communication to support patient care coordination
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and provide direct patient support as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Utah Social Work License required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with inpatient behavioral health and psychiatric assessment settings
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Must be present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are conducted remotely
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience conducting level of care assessments in an ED or medical floor setting
- Background in crisis intervention and de-escalation with behavioral health populations
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes within an inpatient behavioral health environment
