Job Title: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Profession: Social Services Specialty: LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience preferred License: Must have an independent or associate license as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker Certifications: LCSW, LMFT, LMHC Must-Have: Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics Description: This position involves working in an emergency department setting. The candidate will conduct evaluations to assess risk of danger to self or others. The role includes providing recommendations for levels of care. Availability to work every other weekend is required. Shifts will be 10 hours, from the evening through the night. Floating to different facilities may be necessary if overstaffed. The candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care. Skills required include conducting mental health assessments and crisis intervention. Candidates should have experience with care coordination and case management. Good knowledge of ethical principles and cultural issues is essential. Crisis intervention for suicides, drug or alcohol-related issues, and school violence experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to document relevant information and facilitate discharge planning. This position will involve engaging with both adults and pediatric patients experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. All responses will be treated with confidentiality and respect.
