Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 20-23 patients within an acute care setting
  • Provide social work services across a variable 5-day schedule, which may include weekends; days off will vary and are not guaranteed to be consecutive, though consecutive days off will be scheduled when possible
  • Float to nearby sister facilities as operationally required
  • Participate in holiday coverage - candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Complete required onboarding modules prior to start and during orientation
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 full year of acute care social work experience required
  • Valid California state license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Must not be a first-time traveler - prior travel assignment experience is required
  • 2 professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required during the compliance process and prior to start
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted at a different rate)
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; total RTO may not exceed 7 days
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a high-volume acute care environment with a large patient caseload
  • Familiarity with floating between multiple care settings or facilities
  • Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling in a 7-day operational department
