Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Level III NICU RN with therapeutic cooling experience and a TN or compact RN license for a 13-week assignment.

Details

  • Level III Neonatal ICU setting
  • 13-week assignment with a 06:45-19:15 shift schedule
  • Care for premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support
  • Manage patients on ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen
  • Monitor and manage central lines, PICC lines, and umbilical lines (UAC/UVC)
  • Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
  • Provide care for infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia/cooling

Requirements

  • Active RN license, TN or compact license required
  • Current BLS (AHA) and NRP (AHA/AAP) certifications
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required, 3-4+ years of Level III NICU experience preferred
  • Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience required
  • Ability to independently manage complex, high-acuity NICU patients with minimal supervision
  • STABLE certification may be required based on facility policy
  • US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization and respond quickly to neonatal deterioration or emergencies
  • Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and closely monitor changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary NICU team
  • Provide education and emotional support to families throughout the infant's hospitalization
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate that varies by state
  • COVID vaccination is no longer required
